Gluten-free cooking with Jules Shepard

Gluten-free cooking expert Jules Shepard aka Jules Gluten Free was in Raleigh this Sunday to give a gluten-free cooking class. Given the time of the year she focused on Thanksgiving, giving advice on gluten-free casseroles, pie crusts, pumpkin pie, dinner rolls and stuffings.

UNC-MiamiCustom Choice Cereal had the opportunity to meet Jules who originally is from North Carolina before the class started at the local Earth Fare store. We chatted about all things gluten-free, Saturday’s great 33-24 win by UNC’s football team over Miami which we both attended, and the beautiful Indian Summer we get to enjoy these days.

Jules informed us that she had a raffle basket with gluten-free products and that the proceeds from the raffle would benefit The University of Maryland Center for Celiac Research. Of course we were more than happy to donate some of our custom gluten-free cereal mixes for this cause.

It’s always fun to meet new people, especially if they have the same interests as we do.
