What a great event! Custom Choice Cereal was (and still is) at the gluten-free fair this weekend, and we have to thank Jen Cafferty from Gluten Free Life for organizing everything. It was absolutely amazing to see and meet the people behind so many great companies helping celiacs and anyone on a gluten-free diet master their life!
We learned a lot and truly enjoyed the interaction with everyone that was there. Being an online business the opportunity to meet customers and other vendors face-to-face made this a truly invaluable event!
When I arrived in Lisle on Friday the fire alarm went off as I entered the hotel. The fire department showed up fast, checked the hotel, and soon gave the ok for all the guests to enter the hotel again. While waiting I met Tinsley who just started Cēliebo, a website where you will soon be able to order gluten-free dining cards in 12 different languages.
Tinsley found out that she had celiac disease about a year ago (on May 4, 2009 to be exact) and has a great video blog sharing information on gluten-free food and products. She interviewed me at the fair, and while it is always funny to watch yourself in a video I nonetheless wanted share it with you.
